surprise

So Mark's surprise birthday party was pretty good. He looked more what-the-hell-are-you-doing-in-my-house surprised than oh-its-a-birthday-party surprised, which was incredibly funny. Although, I think we had way too much fun putting up the decorations. Streamers and baloons everywhere. Mariclaire even made little bowties out of streamers. But, and this is a huge but, I somehow managed to break my retainer. Not so good. I told my parents this morning, and it went better than I thought it would. I stood in the doorway, said it was an accident and offered to pay for it, then started edging away. My dad still got in "I guess it wasn't an accident then was it" before I got away. Still, it was alot better than I imagined...

ah yes...well I went to go put it in the retainer case only to find that the retainer case was not in my bag where I left it. (I think it must have fallen out in the car somewhere). So, I put it in my jacket pocket thinking "hm, well as this is just the coat room, nothing will happen to it here". wrong. the guys were fooling around in there and managed to knock all the coats on the floor and it must have gotten stepped on..:(

Ohhh noooo....I'm sorry bout the retainer Mare, the guys were pretty rowdy...but at least your parents didn't go too crazy (YAY!)..it must be all the Thanksgivingy spirit... anyhoo...good job with all the party stuff...I especially loved our window arrangement (lol! Go manly pink) and the bows on the doorknob was a nice touch if I do say so myself. Well see ya later Mare...Hope that your Thanksgiving experience isn't too traumatic.
