The Five People You Meet In Heaven

"All parents damage their children. It cannot be helped. Youth, like pristine glass, absorbs the prints of its handlers. Some parents smudge, others crack, a few shatter childhoods completely into jagged little pieces, beyond repair."

Mitch Albom, it seems, knows what he's talking about. I would like to think my parents just smudged my childhood. But then again I wouldn't really know as I have very few memories of when I was little. And most of those I would rather not have. Apparently, either I am very good at repression or my childhood wasn't worth remembering. Anyway, the book is pretty good as these types of books go. It's one of those life lessons books.

You know, it's still really wierd having my parents back in the house. I just got really used to them not being here while they were on vacation and now there is just too much noise and people. It puts me in a bad mood. And I suppose it doesn't help that I'm exhausted from work and can't sleep well because I'm not used to sleeping alone anymore and I'm hungry but I can't eat....I'm sorry. I'm just whining and I shouldn't be. *sigh*

Oh, I told Mark your suggestion about the cinema in BC, Theb. He wants to know exactly what we're insinuating about BC girls. lol. I thought it was pretty clear, but I guess not ;) Anywho, I suppose I'd better rustle up some supper as I haven't eaten since breakfast. But as I'm really lazy, supper = a sausage roll. Woot.

mare, you'd better watch out for clare and her doughnut cart. I hear it's dangerous.

Theb: I've never had a tea party, so I don't know how big the girlyness factor is...

Rabe: I've put out spike belts. Clare won't know what hit her and her doughnut cart! :P
