Hallowe'en

Today is Hallowe'en! I just got that the spelling has the apostrophe because it's Hallow even(as in evening) --> HallowE'EN. Huzzah for me! Ok, anywho...So today is going to be a fun-filled fantabulous day of superlative homework-doing. woot. I have just finished doing dishes and am currently listing to my 'angry music' (aka Rammstein) and deciding on today's schedule (which I am prounouncing SHED-dule!!!!!!!!!!!!) I think that 9-1 shall be designated bio studying time. 1:15-2:15 will be physics w/s. 2:15-3:45 will be history studing. This time, I'm going to get a head start on my studying instead of leaving it to the night before. Then I get to go to grama's and hand out candy! I will try to restrain the urge to kidnap small, cute children. Whilest I am there I shall attempt to do my history w/s and/or math questions. Sound good? Awesometastical! Today's post has been brought to you by the following words (which are soooo better than seasame street's letters and numbers):
huzzah
fantabulous
superlative
shedule
whilest
awesometastical

I like no school

So today was no school! I rather enjoy the concept and put forward the motion of three day weekends every week!
With my lovely day off, I chose to go visit friends from JPII! It was quite fun. They were doing their halloween stuff so I got to see everyone dressed up. Evan was a pimp. He had the fedora, white suit, "pimp stick" ,or whatever he called it, (which he kept poking me in the butt with *shakes fist*) and everything. It was quite good. Kelsea and Cathy dressed up as an electrical socket and plug in. It was odd. Kelsea could actually plug in to cathy. There were a myriad of cowboys and clowns and hookers as usual. Andrew (Rabe get ready to kill yourself laughing) dressed in his speedo, a towel and goggels. Oh, and a swim cap. I wasn't sure where to look, so I avoided looking at him alltogether.
Then I got to go grocery shopping, whoo! lol. I spent a facinating half hour in Sobeys bying various things for mum and some stuff for me and then I went home. I have decided that grocery shopping is boring and overrated.
Now, I shall get off the internet and tally ho and sally forth to my homework and studying for bio. ONWARD HO!!!!!!!
Update: I just finished watching Gilmore Girls, and i have to say, tonight was awesome. Master and Commander made an entrance and I have discovered that his name is Logan. I prefer Master and Commander, but whatcha gonna do? Christopher and GG were also in tonight's episode, which was interesting. I like Christopher. In fact, I prefer him for Loralei over Luke. Rory's editor needs to chill. He seems very uptight. Perhaps his undergarments are too tight. Or perhaps his ugly sweater-vest needs to go. Whatever the reason, he needs to learn how to chillax. Anywho, happy tv watching everyone!

Day of Halloween-ness

Huzzah for Halloween! So ladies, today was awesome. We looked incredibly hot and sexy (hot with an infinite number of t's of course) in our groovy 80's styling clothing. We certainly got some interesting looks walking into school this morning for band! Band was fun. I enjoyed it immensely. ToK was strange. Although I have to point out that Mr O'Donnel's accent is awesome! I wish I sounded like that. Anyway, the movie in ToK was strange. I totally couldn't figure out who Marshal what's-his-face (the big fat pig that keeled over in the first five minutes) was supposed to be. Is he Lenin? And who was Snowball? I really didn't see the resemblance to Trotsky. I thought he was more of a Kirov. Napoleon was so obviously Stalin, although I don't think the animals rising up against him was suppose to happen...odd. And all the killing kind of creeped me out. Math went by really quickly. But I really didn't understand today's lesson. *sigh* I guess I'll have to break out the Idiot's Guide. Physics was fun. Mainly because we did nothing, and the notes I took I partially used diferent colors of pencil for. I enjoyed that lol. My busdriver told me I look more like a 'lady of the evening' than like I'm from the 80's, but really, so did all the other girls dressed 80's ish because they all resembled our outfits. Well, I'm going to tally ho and sally forth! HUZZAH!!

Tuesday ends in Y

So, Tuesday ends in Y. I like Y's. My name has one...Anyway today was a good day. I was really happy today, which is odd because I haven't been happy at all latetly. In fact I've been rather grouchy (so sorry to those whom I've snapped at). So really, it was all very strange.
I drove into school today. It took me nearly 10 minutes to scrape off my windows, which kind of sucked, but at least it was a learning experience. I rather liked ToK today (other than the movie). Especially the stamp with the chick on it from Taiwan that fell because Mr Ross' mom was born in Preson, England in 1941 and Jang Hai Shek (or however you spell it) has something to do with Taiwan (which is where the stamp was from). I also enjoyed the "primary mover" bit. (remember, not only does god shoot dice, but he plays cards and cheats!). And the bit where God has to exist outside the mind because if it didn't he would be inferior to Mr Ross' tin mug. Now really, that is an awefully nice mug. In fact it is a funtabulous mug. I might like such a mug. Hmm..enough rehashing of ToK. Math went alright. I'm pretty sure I passed this one. Grad committee was stimulating. The girl talked, I signed up for slide show. Woot. Physics was unproductive. I like magnets though, so playing with the electricity and magnets was fun.
Yearbook was...well...I don't know how to describe it. I didn't pay much attention because we weren't really deciding on anything, and it seemed like whats-her-face had everything under control. Plus I didn't understand half the stuff coming out of that guy's mouth. Except the ka-chunk. That was good.
Well, I went home, ate supper, and that brings me to now. It's been a good day, and I really don't want to spoil it by doing homework, but I will, so ttfn!

Interview Day

Today was parent-student-teacher conferences or whatever the heck they call them now. It didn't go as badly as I thought it would..although Mr Ralph was being creepy and tried to recruit me to choir again...buuhhhuuu. The interview ("conference", whatever) with Mr Ross, Mrs Wiersma, and Mrs Rose went really well. Mr Pope and Mrs Williams went aight. I wanted to crawl under the table for Mr Broemling and Mr MacCarthy. I had to speak (which I hate doing) and answer questions (which is also high on my 'I hate' list). And Alex kept stealing the teachers I needed to see. I was figuring on getting a long stick and poking him with it until he left...but mum said no and to behave myself.
In other news...Mr Ross had a few very delightful 'darling' phrases today. It was actually quite an interesting lesson though. My oral presentation went crappily today. I got really nervous (as usual) and was practically virbrating on my chair. And then somehow managed to stutter through the questions. It was totally embarassing (as valley-girl as that sounds). Lunch was fun. Rabe and I looked through magazines and made fun of the barely-clothed people. Bio was..odd. I can't do that gel number figuring out crap with the bands. But, I shall persevere...hopefully...Chem was as per usual. Mr Pope has such a soothing voice that it's hard to stay awake. Although, that movie was just ever so exciting. Well, I'm off to beddy bye. Good luck to everyone studying for the math test tomorrow!

"homework" day

Well, today is supposedly homework day. I have so far accomplished little besides organizing a few things and half of my math review sheet. Oh, however I did help daddy splint the cat's leg. He didn't break it as badly as we thought he did. Daddy just must have clipped him as he jumped off the tailgate. We also gave him some tylenol, so he's probably high and feeling absolutely no pain right now. lol. Poor kitty. I don't know what's better, a high cat or a cat in pain. Well, off to finish homework.

Wedding Day

Today was wedding day. Or "hitching day" in Willis-speak. I made it to the church an hour early, and practice went really good. Then I completely and mercilessly slaughtered a song. It was so bad, my dad told me it sounded like someone was just hammering on the piano. Yikes. But, the rest went ok, so I guess it turned out allright. At least Gladys didn't murder me.
This morning, I went into St John's music (which has absolutely no sheet music by the by) and then we went to Staples! It was fun. I enjoy Staples. It is quite possibly one of my favorite stores. I saw the cutest school supplies!
I had to play/sing at church this evening. I was at church from 1-630 pm today, so I think that gets me extra points with God, so I shouldn't have to go to church next weekend. There was the cutest kid in church! He was little and blond and cute. I think I should have stolen him.
Well, I'm off to (hopefully) do some homework before bed. Huzzah!

Friday, October 22, 2004

GAH!!!!!!!

Well, practice tonight went absolutely horribly. I played like crap. You know what, it was beyond crap. So beyond crap that there are no words for it. *sigh* Hopefully I'll be able to get some sleep tonight, practice like crazy tomorrow morning and pull off a good performance. Because, really, Gladys will kill me if I ruin her daughter's wedding.
School was aight. Tok was kind of funny because of that movie. Theb and I have decided that that guy must have had a mail order bride, because really, what woman would put up with her husband locking himself in a study for 7 years to complete his childhood dream of finding the proof to Fermat's last theorem. Yikes. Math was boring, but I think I may be getting the hang of this unit. Physics was, well, physics. Woot. I'm going to go watch Gilmore Girls. Have a fantabulous weekend!

Bio lab day..

So today was kind of fun. History was fairly interesting. I like how Trotsky was "the darling". I snickered to myself both times Mr. Ross used that phrase. I know, I know, simple things amuse simple minds. And english wasn't as painfully boring as usual. All the presentations were good (huzzah for rabe, willis and dalyssa), and Mrs. Williams didn't talk as much. Although, I did get a painful case of frostbite from Mark's cold shoulder. Brrr.....But he did apologize later for being an ass. AND we got to leave english early. Any day that we get to leave english early is a good day. I thoroughly enjoyed not going to bio or chem also. We should do gel electrophoresis more often. Woot for Official IB Playing Cards! Well, being as it's Thursday, and the only thing on tv on Thursday's is Joey I guess I'll be doing my homework tonight. sigh. Will it never end?!?!?

More Wild Water Molecules!

When we last left off, Wiersy had dissolved into heart-wrenching sobs over Poopsie, the unknown left in New York over the weekend. Will Wiersy be able to bring herself under control? Will we find out what Poopsie is? Will Mac have to save New York by himself? Stay tuned...
"Poopsie?" Mac asked, thoroughly confused. Why was the hardened Vice Admiral dissolving into tears this way?
"My beautiful specimen of an IB lab report!" Wiersy wailed, snuffling dejectedly into the phone. "You kow the on...by my star student. I left it in New York with my in-laws because my daughter was staying with them and needed to cross-reference to it. Oh, not the lab report!" Wiersy burst into crocodile tears.
"Wiersy, pull yourself together!" Mac barked in a very un-Mac-like way, "We've got to stay strong!"
"You're right Mac," Wiersy conceded, scrambling into the chair she had rather suddenly vacated, grabbing a tissue on the way. "For all the IB lab reports!"
"That's the spirit!" Mac said excitedly. (He could picture getting back to that facinating black hole report.) "Now, what do we do?"
Wiersy sat up as sraight as she could. This was her domain: solving problems. She dried her tears and put Poopsie to the back of her mind. As Mac had implied, there were more important things to focus on. "Ok...I'll put you through to Admiral Sacha right away..."
Mac hardly had time to protest before he was connected to Admiral Sacha's office. Mac listened to the hold music for several minutes before deciding to put the phone to speaker. Then, leaning back in his office chaire, he listened to a tinny version of Scotland the Brave and opened the report on black holes again. Giving one last offended glance and the jar of mechanical pencils, Mac buried himself in the ever-so-facinating world of Jupiter.
Will Admiral Sacha ever pick up the phone? And what has happened to Sally Forsythe? To find out, just wait until the next facinating episode of PHYSICS GONE WRONG!!!!!!!!

Wednesday...Halfway to the Weekend

So today wasn't too bad. ToK was butt-numbingly dull, but I expected that. Math was superlatively confusing. Lunch was usual. Spare, well...I meant to do work but ended up looking at a magazine. Physics was oh-so-joyous. Yup, pretty much a regular day. Mariclaire and I did not, in fact, get grad presidency. Quite dissapointing, but I'm sure Lindsey is very qualified and will do a delightful job. I'm rather surprised they didn't choose Allison and Sheila or Salima though. Well, I have a headache and am home alone for most of tonight, so I'm going to go find something for supper. I think. It all depends if there is anything to eat in the fridge, because I don't feel like cooking...

The Continuing Saga of Wild Water Molecules

When we last left our heroes, Mac was just about to call the Pentagon. Will Mac be able to get through? Will he finally finish reading the report on black holes? Stay tuned to find out...
Mac hung up with Sally and called the pentagon (which happened to be on speedial, because really, why wouldn't you have it on speedial?). After going through the many secretaries, aids, financial advisors, and analysts that are in charge of screening phone calls, Mac was finally put through to Vice Admiral Visser-Wiersma, commander of the fleet along the eastern seaboard.
"Hey Visser-dubya!" he said, chuckling at his sense of humour.
"It's Wiersy, Mac." Wiersy said, taking an organic tomato out of her nearby refigerator and taking a bite.
"Ya, well, Wiersy, we got us a situation." Mac said.
Wiersy sat up and dabbed one of her monogramed napkins across her lips. "What's up Mac?" Mac was known throughout the eastern seaboard for his exaggerations.
"It's the water molecules, Vice Admiral. They've gone wild!"
Wiersy fell out of her chair. The half-eaten organic tomato rolled away forgotten on the floor. "Oh...well...that got my epinephrine rushing."
"I'm rather sorry to break it to you this way, but we must save New York before-"
"NEW YORK!?!? I left Poopsie there over the weekend with my inlaws! Oh Poopsie!" Wiersy cried, dissolving into heart-wrenching sobs.
What is Poopsie? Will Wiersy be able to bring herself under control in order to save New York? ANd what happened to the surfactant? Find out next time on...PHYSICS GONE WRONG!!!!!!!

Lions and Tigers and Bears, OH MY!!

Contrary to the title, I'm not goin to talk about Lions or Tigers or Bears. Sorry. So yesturday was ok. I think I will confess that I also like history (yay willis!), however yesturday was slightly confusing. When he has the overheads, I can't write down what's on t he overhead and what he's saying fast enough and then I get confused trying to listen and write and remember what he just said so I can write it down. But that's ok, I can always just read the textbooks. Did anyone else notice he was ignoring the polite hints that we ought to be leaving? The rustlin papers, the pens being put away, the agendas falling into backpacks...although I guess he couldn't ignore the snapping of binder rings as everyone started putting away their notes...Well, anyway onward to the bio trip! The bus driver looked like a biker. It was kinda creepy. And his driving "skills" weren't very reminicient of a bus driver either. I think that we should be stopping at red lights. Apparently he doesn't. And he was 20 minutes late to pick us up after the lecture! Speakiong of the lecture, I thought the first guy was easier to understand. He flowed better than the guy from minnesota who moved on new years eve to where there wasn't any snow. Shocker or shockers, I actually took notes. Oh, and did ya notice the first guy said "prodigious"? I LOVE that word! So back at school watching Hamlet sucked. I hate watching plays on tv. Especially ones full of bad acting. I would prefer to see them live instead. I suppose it would also have helped if I watched the beginning of the play, but that was too boring. GUESS WHAT!! Rachel and I managed not to blow anything up in the chem lab! It was amazing. I'm impressed with us. And then, as yearbook was cancelled, my daddy came and picked me up from school. It was delightful. I hate the bus. I watched Lara Croft: Tomb Raider last night. It wasn't all that good, but it sure beat doing physics and math. I got confused and gave up, so that is what I'll be doing at lunch and spare today. woot. Anywho, I gotta go get ready for school. Prodigious!

M is for Monday

M is for monday. How clever. ToK was about as thrilling as ever. I still haven't figured out what a 'civil union' is. oh well, perhaps it will be one of life's great mysteries. Math was confusing, although slighlty less so now that I have my book to refer to. I like it alot. I think Mariclaire's and my interview went splendidly. We had some super answers. Although, not everyone got asked the same questions, which I found slightly odd. Rachel and I fell down at lunch. We were walking, and then all of a sudden I was on the floor. And then Rachel nearly hit me in the face with her backpack. Spare was normal. I did math. Physics was about as confusing as ever. I took notes, nodded, pretended I knew what was going on...the usual. After school I went to my Dr.'s appt. Woot. So apparently, to find out why I can't sleep I should go to a psychologist or psychiatrist. I can't remember which. Either way, it doesn't really matter, because I'm not going. So, I will just live with my not sleeping. I have to go to some clinic thing though and breath through a tube to, once again, determine whether I really have asthma or if it's just my vocal chords being stupid. woot. And then they took my blood. Apparently, I was "due" for a blood workup. Well, I should go do some homework. Maybe just math tonight...

Physics and Math...Buuuuhhhh

So, having just come back from the Place of Knowledge (aka Chapters) from which my daddy purchased the Book of Mathematical and The Calculus Learning (aka The Complete Idiot's Guide to Calculus) for me, I am preparing to carry on my merry way of physics. I have half of it done...on paper. I now have to transfer that half to my computer and then finish the other half. I estimate about 3 hours of work. Then comes...dun dun duuuuuuunnnnnnn CALCULUS. And not just any calculus, THE calculus. Right Theb? And then to my gramma's for supper. Say, what ho! Well, I shall tally ho and sally forth...Huzzah!

Wild Water Molecules...the continuation

Last time on Physics Gone Wrong, Sally had revealed that she was a Speacial Underconver Agent in a phone call to Dr. Dr. Dr. Dave S. MacCarthy (Mac) informing him of the catastrophy of the wild water molecules. We still haven't heard from the pentagon about the secret weapon. Will Mac be able to solve the problem? Will the Surfactant be unleashed? Tune in to find out...
Mac sat straight up in his chair, the facinateing report on black holes near Jupiter forgotten. "What are we dealing with?" he asked sternly, glaring harshly at a container of mechanical pencils near the telephone.
"It's bad," Sally informed him tersely, "the worst I've ever seen."
"Well Jeruselem crickets, Forsythe," Mac exclaimed, "don't keep me in suspense!"
"It's the water molecules Mac." sally whispered, "They've ... gone wild!"
Mac took off his glasses, which he washed every morning in hydrochloric acid to clean them, and covered his eyes. His worst nightmares had come true. "After all these years ... dammit Forsythe! I've had them under control for 17 years now. Have you contacted the authorities? And who was that poor person who was attacked?" mac asked.
"Well ..." Sally said wringing out her hair and watching the water molecules spring out inot the atmosphere, "that was me. Luckily not some poor, unsuspectin civilian."
"Still," Mac said, "they've attacked once, they'll attack again. We have to get this under control before too many people get hurt."
"Right." Sally replied, "But what do we do?"
"I'll get on the line to the pentagon right away and get back to you as soon as I know something. Stay close by until you hear from me." Mac orded Sally, eyeing the mechanical pencils which had offended him earlier.
"I'll be standing by." Sally assured him.
Will the pentagon finally be contacted? Will the water molecules strike again? And what will happen to the mechanical pencils and the facinating report on black holes? Tune in next time for....PHYSICS GONE WRONG!!!!!!

Thinking is Outlawed

Now that the Week of Crap is finally over, I would like to announce that the Thinking is Outlawed Act (TOA) is firmly in place. Keyens would be proud. Or not. So today was the day that would never end. To start my day off, I walked into a book in the library. A book that was sitting on a shelf. A book that was sitting on a shelf at least a foot to a foot and a half to the side of me. And yet I still managed to crash into it. I then overcompensated and fell the other way into Daniel. Fantabulous start to the day. As for history, well...it's history. On a more positive note, I finally understand Mr Ross's marking changes. After they were explained to me at least 5 or 6 times. English was alright. We listened to all those presentations, which is nice, because I enjoy listening to people other thann Mrs. Williams teach. During lunch, Rabe, Diana, Kalyn and I had the priviledge of watching Aaron pin Spencer to the ground and fish around in his pocket whilst his trousers were being dragged down so we had a lovely view of his boxers. They were grey for all those who wanted to know. I don't remember what happened in Bio or Chem. I'm sure it will come back to me, but I really don't remember at this point in time. As for Gilmore Girls, well, I was dissapointed not to see Master and Commander again 'cause, let's face it, he's hot. Am I right or am I right Thebany? In other news, I'm tired and going to be in bed by 10 pm tonight, so sleep sweet everyone!

This week on Physics Gone Wrong...

When we last left our heroine, the brave Sally Forsythe, she had been viciously attacked by wild water molecules, soaking her to the skin. The Pentagon was getting ready to unleash their super weapon: SURFACTANT! For now, we return to Sally, standing on her 5th floor balcony, water can in had and dripping wet...
"The water molecules have gone wild!" Sally spluttered from beneath soaked brown lockes, "I had better inform the Physics Safety Watch and Policing Bureau about this."
At the PSWPB headquarters...
Dr. Dr. Dr. Dave S. MacCarthy was starting his day relatively calmly, with a Coke and a hamburger. Dr. Dr. Dr. Dave S. MacCarthy, whom we shall call Mac from here on in, was a doctor of physics, quantum physics, and black holes. He had just settled into his desk and picked up a very interesting report on the occurence of black holes near Jupiter when his telephone jangled.
"Dave's Physics World, how may I help you?" Mac said, snickering at his delightful joke.
"Gee Dave, I was looking for a night club!" said the voice. Mac sighed. All these prank calls, and never any Nobel Prize nomination notices.
Mac was reaching an interesting point in his black hole report when the phone rang again. Sighing, Mac tore himself away from the report and answered the phone. "Dr. Dr. Dr. David Steven MacCarthy, Head of the Physics Safety Watch and Policing Bureau here."
The voice replied "Hey Mac, Special Undercover Agent Forsythe here." Sally spoke briskly, "We have a major problem."
Will Dr. Dr. Dr. Dave be able to help our Special Undercover Agent? Or will Sally be attacked again before she can tell him the problem? Will the pentagon ever unleash thier weapon? Tune in tomorrow for the continuation of....WATER MOLECULES GONE WILD!!!!!!!!!!

Thursday...which comes after Saturday...

To start off, I have to say, I'm loving the colors here! Ok, on to today's boring recap. So, ToK actually wasn't all that bad. I did feel the compulsion to sleep, but not quite as often as usual. Plus we had a lovely discussion about "that preaching turtle" Franklin who "always has a moral". Personally, I like the moral to the story aspect. Really, where are kids going to get morals these days besides tv? Also, Nick's funtabulous "hughrosshello" was absolutely delightful. I'm sure the person on the other side was confused, but it gave us a high point in the class. Math was...well...math. Mr Broemling picked on me twice and completely confused me. I really don't understand why he bothers. He knows I have no idea what the answer is. Does he like embarassing me? I mean really, we all know I'm stupid in math, why exacerbate the situation? At lunch, we rearranged Mark's binder which was funtastic. It was really bothering me, I had to do it! During spare I worked on my oral (which is actually almost finished). Physics, well that was a failure and a half. Really, does Blair need to be so pretentious? And don't worry Clare, it's not your fault. When it comes to marks, you need to be mean. (which you weren't anyway) So, all in all, it was an okay day. It is thurday after all, the day before friday.
Thurday is almost Friday.
Friday is the best day of the week.
Ergo, thurday is almost the best day of the week.

The Week of Crap is Finally Half Over!

That's right folks! The Week of Crap is finally half done! So, once again, I had 4 hours sleep. I'm getting thoroughly sick of having next to no sleep all in the name of IB. Well, as Rabe pointed out, now that we've paid our fees, its a little late to be dropping out. I had to pay $533, none of which I get back because I'm "certificate" Someone messed up there. At least I passed my chem test...(59%) woot. I think Mr Lam should be penalized for distracting me. I can't think with Princess Bride blaring through the walls, it's one of my favorite movies! I mean really! On a positive note...ummm...oh yeah, sorry lost my train of thought looking for the positive note of this week...anywho, on a more positive note, I'm doing well in English. Finally something good. Well, Gilmore Girls is on tonight, and I have some researching to do so...until tomorrow!

retainer fixing day

Today is official retainer fixing day. Huzzah! It's also transfer money for IB exams day. So today is like a holiday almost because I only went to half of ToK and Math! Math however sucked alot. As everyone knows, I failed. Impressively. With flying colors. 11.5 / 35 flying colors. My dad chooses now to recollect that I really didn't want to take my math and sciences IB in the first place. *sigh* But, my retainer only cost $52 to fix, so that was a plus.
I was thinking, why do we call a W a double-U ? French and German both call it a double-V, and really, it looks more like a double-V than a double-U...
Oh, and I just got why % is per cent. It's 'cause it's that much per cent ! As in number per penny-type cent! Amazing! (well, I thought so)
Ok, so I really have to stop over-thinking...and go back to studing History.

Day of No School

Today is an official Day of No School! Huzzah! Now what does and IB student do on a Day of No School, you may ask? Well, a keener may do homework, but as I am not an aforementioned keener, I am refusing to do aforementioned homework. THAT'S RIGHT!!! I SAID IT!!! NO HOMEWORK!! IB students of the world unite! We have nothing to lose but our marks!
In other news, I just had a choir practice at my place of residence for a wedding coming up very soon, and guess what guys! I didn't suck! In fact, I did not badly! I was pretty amazed. Now, what does one wear to a wedding? The only two weddings I've ever been at, I was the flower girl and had no say in my attire. But now I get to make the decision mwahahaha! HELP!!!

surprise

So Mark's surprise birthday party was pretty good. He looked more what-the-hell-are-you-doing-in-my-house surprised than oh-its-a-birthday-party surprised, which was incredibly funny. Although, I think we had way too much fun putting up the decorations. Streamers and baloons everywhere. Mariclaire even made little bowties out of streamers. But, and this is a huge but, I somehow managed to break my retainer. Not so good. I told my parents this morning, and it went better than I thought it would. I stood in the doorway, said it was an accident and offered to pay for it, then started edging away. My dad still got in "I guess it wasn't an accident then was it" before I got away. Still, it was alot better than I imagined...

Physics Gone Wrong, Episode 1: Water Molecules Gone Wild

Periodically, I will be publishing bits of a continuing story Rabe and I have been co-authoring in Physics (hence the title). It's fun alot!

It is a quiet night in New York city. Sally Forsythe was standing on her apartment balcony, a watering can in her hand. She began to water her unsuspecting potted plants. Suddenly, the water molecules broke their intermolecular bonds and began to wreak havoc on New York. The city was utterly destroyed, save for the statue of liberty, which was utterly soaked by these WATER MOLECULES GONE WILD!
Little did the wild water molecules suspect, the pentagon had been furiously working on a counter-attack plan in secret. Their new, ultimate, super-secret, weapon of mass water attack: surfactant!

Will the pentagon unleash their weapon? Will the water molecules discover the secret weapon all too soon? What happened to Sally Foresythe? Stay tuned for the next intstallment of WATER MOLECULES GONE WILD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well then..

So, today was just wonderful. Absolutely funtabulous. (If you didn't catch that, it's sarcasm. Alot.) So first off, I'm still extremely tired. Well so what, so is everyone else. ToK was absolutely thrilling, as usual. Although, we did get two very good "HughRossHello"s. Then I pretty much bombed my math test. I'm pretty sure I failed with flying colors. And then a super dull physics lesson. Woot. I went home thinking 'wow, home will be alot better than school, even if I do have to study'. Well guess what, I was wrong. Way wrong. I walk in the door and am bombarded by my mum with "I'm tired of cleaning up after you all the time" and "by God you better start helping out around here" and "you're selfish and lazy and disrespectful", and a myriad of other lovely phrases. And then of course my dad comes home and also gets some lovely phrases. So here we all are, eating supper and shouting at each other. I go outside to feed the animals and I can still hear everything loud and clear. Good thing we don't live in town. *sigh* Sorry 'bout the rant, I just had to get it out of my system.

So...sleeping? What is this sleeping?

Huzzah! I actually finished my Chem lab last night. Granted, it is the worst piece of crap I've tried to pass off as lab yet, but hey, at least it's a finished piece of crap. There's always a bright side. Sadly, as Rabence finished her lab also, we shan't be able to drop chemistry together.
I was trying unsucessfully last night to finish those english w/s, and whilst I was perusing Hamlet, I noticed that the characters tried (very unsuccessfully I might add) to use "ergo". They didn't even spell it right! I am affronted. I think this should be taken up with Shakespeare! We'll take him out and shoot him at dawn. That's my new resolution. And then we'll burn Hamlet as a statement against spelling ergo wrong, and won't have to take anymore tests on it because it will have been incinerated. Who's with me?!
I actually finished most of the homework last night! I think I deserve at least a gold star for that. Granted, I didn't get into bed until...2-ish, but hey, less homework tonight means more Gilmore Girls!

Oh, the horror!

So...Chem labs suck. Alot. I'm tempted to join Rabe in dropping it. Tempted severely. *sigh*. However, I think I'll try and keep it going, but it shall be a crappy lab. Does anyone else think TOK is incredibly boring? Cuz I sure do. What do fallacies have to do with anything? And why oh why do we care about whether cats have 4 or 5 limbs? Oh well. I had better get back to homework if I have any chance of sleeping tonight.

Huzzah for the Blog craze!

Yay for Thebany also jumping on the band wagon. I see a new wave of blog-ness where we all have blogs...crazy-ness.
On a side note, does anyone understand physics? Or math for that matter. If so, could you take pity on me and explain?

jumping on the bandwagon

So, I've decided to jump on the bandwagon in order to post on Willis's site, which only allows comments by users. This means I will prabably not update all that often, but feel free to come see or rant. Whichever takes your fancy!
